1. Vacuum carpets at least once a week, the more the better.
85% of the dirt a carpet cleaner removes starts out as dry soil that can be easily vaccuumed.
  2. Clean carpet spots with Host dry carpet cleaning compound.
Dry spots as well as fresh wet spills can be affectively and quickly cleaned.
Traffic lanes and small areas can be cleaned as well. A 2.5-lb. jar of Host compound can be purchased for $20.00 per jar.
  3. Have your carpets professionally cleaned with Host at least once a year. More often for high traffic areas such as hallways, stairs, family rooms and other heavily soiled areas. After all your carpet is a filter and it collects allergens, pollens, dust, soil, mold, and dust mites. Avoid using any moisture on your carpets.
